Sheerwater Seedling' is an upright, decidous tree and is the most compact variety. Its foliage in the spring is mid/dark green and looks fantastic against the fluffy, white corymbs of flowers produced in April-May. But then in the autumn months its green foliage turns vibrant shades of orange and red which are complemented by the reddish orange berries that hang in heavy clusters.
Sorbus trees need to be grown in moderately fertile, humus-rich soil. Tolerant of atmospheric pollution and dry conditions. Can be planted in exposed or shelter areas and needs full sun to partial shade.
