Jersey' is an old variety of blueberry that is a real 'tried and trusted' - and rightly so as it always produces a heavy yield of medium sized berries with a lovely sweet flavour. With excellent cold tolerance and a strong erect growing habit this is an 'easy' variety to grow. Following the delicate pinky-white flowers in the Spring, fruits are ready to harvest from late July onwards. Recommended by the RHS to be an excellent attractant and nectar source for bees and other beneficial insects.
Needs to be planted in an open, sunny, sheltered spot. In moist but well drianed soil. PH - acidic.
